Between Facebook groups, Meetup groups and insert-any-social-media-platform groups, it’s hard to keep up with what’s happening in Austin’s vegan scene. You might even say our community is splintered.
While we can’t unite the community’s scattered fold, we can help bring order by compiling sources and providing timely and accurate updates to you.
Austin Veg News’s goal is to be the dependable “one-stop-shop” Austin vegan news aggregate. Know who’s doing what, where to make dinner plans for the night and when the next vegan event is taking place no matter the group you’re in.
How to stay up-to-date
Primarily, we’ll share updates on Austin Veg News’s Twitter account. Here you can read tweets about your favorite vegan places like:
- being featured in a local or national magazine
- breaking news like temporary closures
- special notices like holiday hours or location changes (Food trucks, am I right?).
For more in-depth coverage, we’ll post blog entries like ‘Where to eat for Valentine’s Day’ or ‘What should I get during SXSW’ (coming soon). We’re still putting together an editorial calendar, so watch this space for upcoming articles.
Of course, we’ll post on Instagram because it’s where all the food action is. We’re excited to see how this channel unfolds, to be honest.
Last, and definitely not least, we’d like to hear from you. What news channel can provide relevant news without you, the news source. Tell us what’s going on in your neck of the woods or simply tell us what’s on your mind. We want to know!
Thank you for visiting Austin Veg News. We look forward to providing you updates with no filler, no beef and all veg.
